The Maison Suisse Paris is celebrating its final evening with two exceptional moments: a concert by the Geneva Chamber Orchestra, followed by the screening of the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

For this special programme entitled ‘From Geneva to Paris’/‘De Genève à Paris’, the OCG plays:
Mozart: Symphony No. 5 (composed just before Mozart's arrival in Geneva) (7 minutes): Let yourself be transported by the cheerful melody of this symphony, composed by the famous musician during his stay in Geneva.
Tchaikovsky: Variations on a Rococo Theme for cello and orchestra (20 minutes): Admire the virtuosity of this graceful and elegant cello concerto.
Honegger: Summer Pastoral (10 minutes): Escape into a bucolic landscape with this pastoral piece by the Swiss composer Honegger, full of poetry and lyricism.
Mozart: Symphony No. 31 ‘Paris’ (19 minutes): Rediscover the effervescent atmosphere of the French capital with this sparkling and lively symphony.
Duke Ellington: Caravan (arr. for chamber orchestra by Raphaël Merlin) (5 minutes): Let yourself be charmed by the syncopated rhythms and haunting harmonies of this jazz piece revisited for chamber orchestra.
This concert will be conducted by Raphaël Merlin, a virtuoso cellist and artistic and musical director of the Geneva Chamber Orchestra. His passion for music and his exceptional talent guarantee you an unforgettable moment.

The closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games has been announced as a previously unreleased event, in electro party mode. It will in fact bring together 24 of the greatest artists on the French electro scene, promising a memorable final evening to close a historic summer of Games.
