Lucas Dorado, vibraphone & composition
Minino Garay, percussion & composition
Christophe Minck, basse
Lucas Dorado was born in Biel/Bienne (CH) and got to know and play Latin American rhythms as a young child through his father. Finally specialized on vibraphone, he has been active since 2012 and has performed in various countries in Europe, South America and Africa. He won the 1st prize in the first Jazz-Vibes Competition 2017 in Pescara.
Minino Garay’s musical path has been a broad one. The jazz world has been his home for decades, but the percussionist also spent years perfecting his craft with Argentinean legends like Mercedes Sosa and Jairo. Having lived 30 years in France, Garay expanded his musical interests into Brazilian and African music, recording with Hermeto Pascoal, Toumani Diabaté, Cheik Tidiane Seck, and Richard Bona along the way. These diverse musical interests form the music created by Garay.
The two bandleaders, Lucas Dorado and Minino Garay, feel at home in several cultures. In their music they harmonize Argentinian folklore with new sounds drawn from Jazz, with which they are very familiar.
